** Posted to multiple lists. Sorry for duplication **

      PROSPERO for Windows version 1.2 is an
Open Source Web-based document delivery
system designed as a complement to the
Ariel ® software system.

 Prospero contains two parts. The first is
a staff module which captures and converts
Ariel files (TIFF images) to Web accessible
documents (PDF files). The PDF files are
then posted on a secure web server. This
module also manages user information and
generates email to the patron.The second
module is a server-side / user interface which
allows patrons to retrieve their documents
using a Web browser.

     Features of 1.2 include:

     - Moved Prospero staff module from a Perl
            codebase to C codebase. Server side is
            still Perl. This will enable us to make a
            future release an Ariel "plug-in"

     - Added ability to attach pdf documents to an
            email message rather than posting them
            to the Web

     - Added Alphabetical sorting to user list database

     - Fixed bugs in TIFF/PDF conversion and other
            interface problems. This resulted in an
            Acrobat error stating that less than expected
            data was read.

      - Changes in server scripts:
            * cleaned up variables
            * fixed some issues with purge.pl not working
            * available documents table looks prettier
            * added Delete Button so patron can delete their
                        documents
