Synopsys, an EDA software company located in Mountain View, California, has an immediate opening for a Web Content Manager.

Position: 
Software Operations Web Content Manager 

Job Responsibilities:
The Software Operations Web Content Manager is responsible for content management, layout and functionality of the OPSNet and Finance Intranet Web sites and for working with other members of the Web Infrastructure and Training Services team to foster knowledge management practices and processes. The position provides significant support to clients using OPSNet, including needs analysis/assessment, content life cycle management, and development and maintenance of documentation, templates and standards.  Additionally, the position provides first-level cgi and second-level Web programming services and is responsible for designing, developing and delivering appropriate analysis of Web trends, metrics and requirements. Responsibilities also include providing company wide communication of Software Operations issues, news, schedules and other pertinent data, as well as representing the Software Operations Department on the IntraNet council (Symon team) and other relevant teams. The position is also responsible for implementing automated Web tools and information management tools and additional related services as required.

Job Requirements:
Essential skills include exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills necessary to assess customer needs, experience working in a knowledge management environment and demonstrated fluency with HTML. The successful candidate will have computer software familiarity and some programming knowledge, including working knowledge of UNIX, PERL, and JavaScript. A strong sense of customer service focus is essential. This position requires at least one year of experience working on Intranet or Internet Web sites.

Education:
Minimum: Degree in Knowledge Management, Information Studies, Management of Information Systems, or related discipline (Masters preferred).
