Your help, Please!

My page has 4 frames. A , B ,C and D.

Frame A has a  FORM,  in which user can enter some search string.  Form is
calling a CGI in ACTION property.
This CGI reads some HTML and sends it on the fly to frame D. (which is
controlled by using TARGET="main").

The display is fine but the links are getting spoilt.   If the output in the
frame D has a link a.html,
when the user clicks on it, it tries to get data from  server-root/a.html.EXE
instead of  a.html in the document root.

I don't  know why the server-root and EXE are getting added.

Any  clue/suggestions will of great help.
