webservers and routers and firewalls, oh my!

I need help in a bad way and thought I would appeal to the experts on the
list.
We just switched to a new automation system (Gaylord's Polaris) and I'm
having a heck of a time getting our computers inside our Cisco PIX firewall
to be able to access the web catalog. In a nutshell, I need to be able to
make port 80 of our new NT automation server available over the Internet.
We already have a webserver on our ci.glendora.ca.us domain. I called GTE
(they provide our ISP and DNS) and told them that I have a second webserver
I wanted to add. They told me that all we needed to do was add an A record
pointer to the new server. We made the request and they added the record
for us to the static address I created on the firewall of 216.202.129.145.
Our Polaris NT server is inside the firewall. I created a static IP address
for the server and opened up port 80 (tcp) on the firewall. I also had to
change admin settings on Polaris so that the IP address for graphics (for
example) reflects the static public address (they do not use relative
paths). Our computers on the public side can access the webserver...all is
well for them.
If pointed to the private IP address of the new webserver, the computers on
the private side cannot view the graphics on Polaris because of the changes
I made in System Admin. If I try to point them to the 216.202.129.145
address, I get the "The page you are looking for is currently unavailable"
error message.
I've called GTE and they say everything is fine on their end. I've called
Cisco and talked to their firewall and router techies and they say
everything is configured properly on our router and firewall.
Am I missing a crucial step here? How can I configure things so that people
can access the 216.202.129.145 server from home (which would hopefully also
enable the computers inside the firewall to be able to access it as well)?
I would be forever grateful if anyone could provide me with some assistance
in this matter or point me in the right direction.
Desperately yours,
