Hi,
What about using active server pages for linking to the catalog
databases? My programmer husband is just getting into active x (correct
term?) and has convinced me that what I need to do to help him learn
about it is to take my filemaker pro database and catalog and link it
via an asp page.
Has anyone done this? Do you recommend any active server (or active x)
books? Currently I am having my web page link directly to the hard
drive (intranet-based library web site and catalog) to a filemaker pro
generate search web page. While I can customize that page (I think), I
like the idea of learning active x and designing an asp page. Are there
any libraries out there now who are running catalog searches via active
x that I could look at and review? Does anyone have experience with
filemaker pro to know whether it is ODBC compliant (I will of course
research this, but if you know off the top of your head, TIA!)?
Thanks so much.
