I saw on the CNN page yesterday that the FCC had posted parental guidelines
for the Internet [ www.fcc.gov\parental_information ], so I went to check.
The page is mostly about the V-chip, set-top boxes and telephones, which the
FCC has responsibility for.
The Internet stuff comes with the caveat that the FCC has no authority over
the WWW, but people keep bothering them about it. They mention some filters,
but the kicker is that they refer parents seeking more information and
guidance to the ALA [ www.ala.org/parentspage ].
