Controlled access to Inet sites on OPACS

We are in the process of upgrading our OPAC to the Ameritech client server based system.
This will enable the system to provide integrated workstations which are able access to Web as well as the other Catalog and library functions.
We are considering keeping some Catalog-only stations
as well as our existing open Internet access machines.
BUT, For our "Reference" customer-use workstations we have a selected range of "great" links and, more importantly, subscriptions to Periodical dbs and encyclopedias etc.
We wish to limit these latter units as far as possible to our own selections. Are any Public Libraries dealing with this issue? Thanks.
