hi there LIS folks:

an interesting career opportunity came up today - if you're net-savvy, dig
strategic business research, and are interested in a career change, this might
warrant your immediate attention. (so glad i am not a hr recruiter after writing
that sentence :-)

bighub is a new dot-com started by members of the team who founded shopping.com
and sold it to compaq for some $200M? recently. i spoke with two people in the
company and am very impressed with their commitment to librarian-powered
research as part of their business development strategy.

gotta warm your heart when you see an internet startup recruiting a research
librarian from day one. sounds almost too good to be true -- believe it is based
in Newport, California, USA.

if you don't have the full experience but your MLS program turned you on to the
Internet, i think they would be interested to review your letter & resume as

 POSITION
  Requires a Master of Library Science from an
  American Library Association accredited program or
  equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' recent
