Hello All,
I'm new to both these lists, so this is my first posting. I apologize to those of you who get this message twice. I'm new at the Sacramento public library (automation manager), and one of my responsibilities is the library's web page, overseen by committee. We are a fairly large system (24 branches) and the committee was created to make sure the site was consistent and fresh.
We have been approached about adding some home pages to our site for auxiliary library services (the literacy program, homework centers, etc). Rather than approach each request in a haphazard manner, we want to write a document outlining the types of things that may or may not be appropriate - sort of a guideline. I'll take this to our general Management Forum for OK once we have a good draft.
The question is, has anyone done this at their library? Can I have a copy? We need to start somewhere, and it seems like seeing what someone else has done would be a great springboard for discussion.
Thanks for any help anyone out there can give!
Carolyn
