I'm not at all a fan of Acrobat on the web.  Most of the time, it's 
overkill -- you can convey the information nicely in HTML.  PDF is 
not thin, text-oriented net file format like HTML.  It takes time and 
bandwidth to download, and then has to launch an application which 
may use up too much memory.   And it's a hassle to index and search, 
and you can't search by pages, just the entire document.

PDF is great for printing tax forms, certificates, brochures, and 
other documents where the appearance is an integral part of the 
information.
