Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia is in the process of
reorganizing their Library and Learning Services--one building, housing
three units.
We intend to shape our Learning Resource Center (tutoring/testing),
Instructional Media Center (video production, etc.), and the Library
(stacks) into a more collaborative unit. We have not yet investigated
our relationship with the Dept. of Telecommunications on campus beyond
the obvious--the T1 line we cherish and their hearty servers.
We have already formed a Library Management Team (5 people) and a Task
Force (8 people). We have been meeting for about a year.
Marymount is private, Catholic, urban, 4000 FTE--undergraduate/masters
degrees offered.
I am anxious to communicate with a person from a similar university that
is also in pursuit of creating a more cohesive center of information.
Would appreciate a response to: iupshur at marymount.edu
