Your database vendor will more than likely never see your private ip
addresses, they will only see the IP address of your proxy or NAT or masq
box (sometimes this is the same as your "firewall"). 

If you are having problems determining the real-world IP address that your
clients appear to be originating from, drop me an email and I can give you
a quick URL to test matters.

On second thought... allow me a moment to perl...

determine the ip address that the outside world sees the machine as is:
