Understanding and Comparing Search Engines

Some of you may be familiar with a page I have maintained on
understanding search engines.  It is a bibliography of online papers on the topic.   I have not updated it in some time and I get periodic 
requests to do so.  

If anyone knows of relevant online papers or sites that would be good
additions, I would welcome any suggestions.
