Description:  America Online, Inc., the world's most popular Internet online 
service, seeks individuals to review, evaluate, select and manage content for 
one of the fastest growing web directories.  In addition, these individuals 
will be responsible for managing and updating a hierarchical Internet 
classification system. This will involve content building for an assigned 
subject or subjects. He/she will be responsible for funneling content into 
the directory and monitoring the quality of the product.  Also, this 
individual will write reviews of items,
develop cross-references of subject categories, and generate ideas on how to 
improve the product.

Skills Required: America Online, Inc.'s fast-paced environment requires that
all candidates possess the enthusiasm and flexibility to work in a highly
dynamic situation.  Ideal candidates will have solid Internet experience; a 
background in library and information science; strong editorial skills; 
indexing and cataloging experience; familiarity with traditional 
classification schemes and controlled vocabularies; and knowledge of Internet 
classification schemes. Good subject analysis skills are needed as well.  
These individuals must have the ability to work independently and in a team 
environment. 

MLS degree desired and 3-5 years of professional experience in a related field
required.
