Redesigning library webpage

Since our college is moving from a VAX VMS based webserver to a Windows NT
using Microsoft's webserver, can anyone suggest or point me to really
innovative designs and/or services being provided using Windows NT and the
Microsoft webserver?  I am looking for cgi based or other such extensions.
Examples could be of the "My Library" page variety and more.  I hope to have
full access to cgi and such.
