Hello,

there is a possible solution. We are using it on our public PCs with
Win'95, but I believe it works as well with NT. We have created a
file with the IP addresses and names of the URLs that our patrons
can access from these PCs (our web pages, the WWW OPAC, databases
and so)
Here is an example of the file format:

161.116.168.3 eclipsi.bib.ub.es
161.116.168.4 www.bib.ub.es
161.116.1.1 ub.es
161.116.1.2 www.ub.es

The file must be placed in the Windows directory and be called HOSTS
(no extension)
In addition, the DNS names resolution must be turned off. This is
done on the TCP/IP properties card, select the DNS card and turn it
off.
This way our patrons can use Netscape or IE to work with all our
resources without navigating the Internet.
