mail verification

Has anyone know of/developed/etc a java (or otherwise) script to verify
the "from" email address on an email link?  What I am trying to describe
is a script/plugin which when someone clicks on an email link, a dialog
box will appear and say " Please enter your return email address" ,
provide an address and then attach it to the mail message.  We are trying
to solve a problem we have with identifying and replying who students
contact us from multiple email addresses.
