Subject: Problems with IE3 and NT4

Hi,

I saw the message for "LOCKING DOWN IE WITH WINNT" and it helped me for my
problem.
I have to install a Winnt 4 SP3 (Dutch) and IE 3.02 (Dutch) in a library,
but even with the IE policy file, the public can do some damage to the
system.

Can you help me with the following questions :

1. How can you lock down IE even more. For example not letting them do the
FILE://C:\ and not letting them open something (from the file menu) ......

2. The users have to login and receive a desktop which contains only those
applications the login can have. A user is also limited in time and so I
used the program "SOON" from the NT resource kit to limit their access. My
problem here is that when they login the batch file which contains the SOON
command tell me that the ACCESS is REFUSED/DENIED. Obviously the user
group USERS can't start this. What can I do ??

3. Which directories can I restict access to without causing any problems.
On this machine there is also the possibility to run some CD applications.

I hope you can help me .......
