In a nutshell:

ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

signed by parents that states that computer use
will be suspended for a period of __ or permanently
denied for ___ (wandering on smut sites or other
agreed upon misuses).

Filtering for lack of parental supervision is not
the answer. Technology is not always the solution.

Comparing community (caring, responsibility for problems of)
underage drinking, gangs, drug use, cigarette smoking
is overstating the "need" for filtering... just doesn't wash.

God bless librarians everywhere and the First Amendment.
Libraries are not dumping grounds nor baby-sitters.
