 Memphis Shelby County Public Library is accepting applications for a 
 Computer Resources Librarian.
 
 Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA 
 accredited library school with undergraduate or graduate degree in a related 
 field required.  Five years of professional librarian experience related to 
 using computer technology and electronic resources for information delivery 
 required.  Position requires excellent oral and written communications 
 skills with management and non-management staff and others. Demonstrated 
 reference skills using electronic resources required.  Position requires 
 ability to perform in a lead role during an implementation process and 
 train in group and individual settings. Proficiency in PC skills, uses of PC 
 software packages, DRA library automation software, Internet and basic 
 office equipment required. $1,174.79 Bi-Weekly
 
 Memphis/Shelby County Library and Information Center meets the reading and 
 information needs of a diverse population of approximately 852,919 through a 
 large main library, 21 branches, 2 bookmobiles and 2 special mobile units-
 joblinc and training wheels.  The library system is located in southwestern 
 Tennessee where the climate, low cost of living, and other amenities offer 
 something for just about everyone.  Memphis, Tennessee, on the banks of the 
 Mississippi, is the birthplace of the blues, home of the king, cotton 
 capital of the world and America's distribution center.
