Connecticut College, a highly selective private liberal arts college,
seeks candidates for its Information Fellows Program. This unique and
challenging opportunity is the only post-masters program in the nation
which provides recent graduates with technical and leadership skills in a
merged information services environment. The College provides an
outstanding environment for training and developing information
professionals. Information Services, the Language Laboratory, Libraries,
Computing, Media Services and Telecommunications, play a central role in
the way technology supports education and research. The incumbent is
expected to provide technical and conceptual initiative, while gaining
extraordinary project development and management experience in a
team-based environment.

Under the direction of the Dean of IS, a work plan is devised for projects
that provide optimal career experience in libraries and computing based on
the skills and goals of the Fellow and the needs of the College. Potential
projects can include the creation of instructional software, design of the
technology infrastructure, and support and development of electronic
library services. The Information Fellows Program is supported by a grant
from the Charles E. Culpeper Foundation and each appointment is for two
years.

Required: Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to
work in a team-based environment. Demonstrated interest and skills in the
use of technology to support instruction and research. Recent masters
degree in Computer Science, Instructional Technology or Design,
Information or Library Science, or related field. Stipend of $32,000 per
year, plus benefits and support for professional development.

Review of applications will begin on March 30, 1998. Please send resume,
cover letter and names of four references to: Information Fellows Search
Committee, Connecticut College, Box 5251, 270 Mohegan Avenue, New London,
CT 06320.

faculty. An Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
