An example of a university-community
college-community partnership is the "Through Our
Parents' Eyes" WWW site
(http://www.library.arizona.edu/parents). The
goal of the site is "to share the history and
experiences
of Tucsonans from various ethnic backgrounds in a
way that acknowledges our multi-cultural
heritage".

The site is housed on one of the University of
Arizona Library servers and is directed by
librarians at the University and Pima Community
College. Librarians, library staff, and library
school interns have provided most of the technical
digitization & HTML know-how. Librarians, faculty
and staff at these academic institutions, along
with the local historical society and members of
the Tucson community, have sought out and recorded
the histories and photographs included in the
exhibits. Most recently, a K-12 educator
developed lesson plans
to accompany the African-American exhibit and a
community college counselor organized workshops
for local K-12 teachers on the site and the lesson
plans.
