Need for a new list? -Reply

One thought on setting up a new list for librarians doing cgi, perl, etc. - 

Once someone gets a list going, how about soliciting members from  the
technical support people for the various vendors we're all trying to reach
through authentication?  It might help the technical support staff to see
the variety of situations libraries are facing, and the solutions that their
competitors have allowed.  Also,  they could hopefully contribute tips or
solutions from their points of view.
