To bad she didn't even bother to get the name of our national organization
correct. National Library Association? Imagine all those angry people
wanting to send a nastygram to the National Library Association and finding
out no such organization exists. Maybe a blessing in disguise?
I think her sense of rightous indignation points out just how emotional
this issue is. Which is too bad. She could have made a better argument if
she'd been more rational. I still don't understand how people think that
pornographic images just jump off the computer screen and onto a floppy
disk that some kid takes home and uses to print out images. The kid whose
mother brought the suit against the library is no innocent. He obviously
knew how to download material and save it to a disk that he brought to the
library for this express purpose. It makes you wonder what else he's hiding
behind mommy's back.
