Not really web related... search and replace DOS program

Jim,
I've been using a utility called "gsar" that does just that. I use it by
calling the program at boot time to search through the win.ini file and delete any
wallpaper images the computer users may set up (which is easy to do through
Netscape). The utility is free and well documented and the syntax is simply:
call gsar -s(text to search for) -r(text to replace it with) -o path/filename
(but without the parentheses)
The utility is also very useful in adding or removing carriage returns -- a
problem that can crop up when transfering files between DOS and UNIX. I
found the file on a sharewhare site like http://www.hotfiles.com or
http://www.sharewhare.com. Let me know if you don't find it -- I'd be happy to
e-mail it to you.
