Susan,

I wouldn't spend much time on the technical aspects of the Internet.
Concentrate on what they can expect to find and where they should go to
find it.

I know of no PowerPoint tutorials on searching, but I have put up a guide
to database searching generally that has Web applications.  Its at
http://www.bloomu.edu/library/pages/database_searching/first.html .
