The two tools that I use for development are Microsoft FrontPage '98 and
HTML Assistant Pro 3. The first is wysiwyg, and is wonderful for seeing
page layout and working with tables. The second tool is a text based
editor with helpful functions. Using the two in combination allows
me full control of my page development.
I have created a prototype for a Librarians Resource Centre. This will
be on the SLA Toronto Chapter's site in the near future. Have a look at
it, there are numerous links to webpage development tools that are on
the internet.
the current url is: http://www.cam.org/~mgross
Hope this helps, and good luck
