Check HumanSearch at http://www.humansearch.com . It is an online
quasi-librarian service. Although the service is run by University Students
at the University of Rhode Island and volunteers, we put out some pretty
good results. It is kind of a labor of love right now, asking volunteers
to help search the net. We don't have the capacity to keep up with demand
right now, but we have Proteus, a searchable index of all the questions and
answers we've provided so far.

One of the things we struggle with is whether or not to search for porn.
Since Yahoo, hotbot, and all the others are quasi-competitors, we have to
remain as open as possible, without violating our volunteers. Its a tough
call...

Any advice from this list?
