Systems Librarian--Position Open

Salve Regina University invites applications for the position of systems 
librarian.

The university is a private coeducational institution of approximately 
2200 students.  It is located in a section of Newport, Rhode Island which 
the National Historic Places has designated as the Ochre Point-Ciff 
Historic District.

McKillop Library of the university moved into the current facilities in 
1991, installed all modules of Innovative Interfaces system, and has 
added extensive electronic resources.  For further information about

Systems librarian reports to Dean of Library Services and manages the 
library information system, web pages, LAN, microcomputer hardware and 
software.  He/she also particates in reference services, including 
Internet training and bibliographic instructions.

ALA-accredited MLS, computer science, or other related degree, 
experience in managing library systems, and knowledge of UNIX 
operating system desired.
