>From our center's LOCAL home page, I have a home web page with several
others that it links to, i.e., "weblets?".
one of the larger pages was changed when it was put onto the web by
eliminating all the carriage returns that made viewing and changing the
source file so easy. Instead, i find characters that look like small
filled-in rectangles.
I don't feel comfortable asking the computer folks about this, but is anyone
familiar with why this would be done on a UNIX system?
Is it easy for them to change it back as any time--or for me to do so with
my PC? I just noticed that if I copy and paste (to show a sample to you),
the system is returned--but why do it in the first place?
Thanks. please respond to me directly if possible
