Some of you may read Librarian NetNews (formerly NetConnect) and
are already familiar with the department "Tales from the Trenches," but
have never submitted your own. Others may not have seen it.

In either case, we are looking for your interesting research
stories! Have you ever used the Internet (in all its various guises) to
answer a tough research question from a patron? Those questions that with
traditional researching techniques you couldn't have answered . . . at
lease not in a timely fashion?

These can be funny, anecdotal stories or serious stumpers -- mainly
we are trying to show some of the creative ways that the Internet can be
used professionally for librarians.

Please e-mail your story with your name, e-mail address and the
library you work for to cheriedutton at pdq.net. If we use your story you'll
receive a complimentary issue as well as credit in the newsletter.

        Thank you!
