Does anyone know if there is a switch/parameter or other technique to
prevent a browser which has been supplied a destination IP numeric address
from resolving that address with a domain name server? My objective is
to have it behave like telnet: if it has the IP numeric address it makes
the connection without resolving the address. We need this when our
required Domain Name Servers (not under our control) are down or otherwise
unavailable. We're using Netscape Navigator 4.04

Thanks.
