Hi Alicia: 

ESRI has several nice (freely available) ArcData datasets available 
on their web site at: http://www.esri.com/data/online/

These datasets include:
- Census Tiger Data
- USGS Topographic Maps
- US Street Data

Would you be willing to summarize the responses you get for Web4Lib??
