log in software

[Michael Ming, Hung]

I am working in a school library and have several networked PCs for
students to access internet and cdrom. i wonder if there is any shareware
which can make the students to login the system with a unique password (for
each of them) and have a log file for me to generate statistics of usage

do you have any idea?
