Position Announcement: Library Network Manager

The University of Oregon Library System is accepting applications for the    
position of Library Network Manager.  This position reports to the Head,     
Library Systems and Automation, and is responsible for leadership, project   
management and the technical support of microcomputers, servers and other    
networked services and resources used by both Library patrons and staff.     
Duties include supervising hardware and software upgrades, administering     
Windows NT and Linux servers, and supporting Apache HTTP server, UnipriNT,   
and SQL servers.                                                             
                                                                             
This position requires a BS or BA degree, experience supporting Windows 95   
and/or NT microcomputers and application software; experience                
administering Windows NT, Linux, or Netware servers, and the ability to      
work productively on one or more cross-departmental teams.                   
                                                                             
Minimum salary is $37,000.  Appointment beyond the minimum salary is         
dependent upon qualifications and experience.  The University of Oregon      
offers a strong benefits package.  Oregon has no state sales tax.
