OK -
I'm about to show my ignorance -again-
We actually -encourage- patrons to save to their own disk - to save
printing costs and to provide them with the information in a format they
can use on their own computers.
We use McAfee ViruScan and set it to check any file that is accessed, read
and\or written on the a: drive.
We have been doing this for about 5 years with no known problems -
well except for some housekeeping issues - cleaning files off c: that were
left there accidentally -- or on purpose.
Have we just been lucky?
What grave dangers am I overlooking?
