Mignon,

We are a Community College. We do nothing to lock the A: drive. We do
lock them out of C: They can only download to A: We also only let
Netscape run on the C: drive, so they cannot upload to the C: drive. Nor
can they run programs from the disk in the A: drive.

We are on a NT network and use policy editor (run on the NT machines
and loaded into the stations from the server) to control access.

So they can use any disk they have. No uploads, no viruses.

John

Hello,

We are getting ready to go up for public Internet use next week. The
policy states that patrons are required to purchase a floppy disk to use
the a drive. How do you control the use of the "a" drive? Any
comments will be appreciated.
