Excellent opportunity for experienced Reference Librarian to design and
implement electronic instruction materials, organize Reference Department's
Web presence, provide general reference service within a complex and
evolving networked environment, and teach in a vigorous library instruction
program.  Additional responsibilities include selecting materials for
reference and general collections and serving as liaison to academic
departments.  Department members participate in team management and share
evening and weekend assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS.  Applicants are required to have an MLS degree from an ALA
accredited program or international equivalent and several years of
professional reference experience in an academic or large public library.
Library instruction experience and proven ability to plan and implement Web
based services are also essential.  Seeking a person with a broad general
academic background, effective oral and written communication, excellent
interpersonal and analytical skills, and the ability to work cooperatively
in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.

SALARY AND APPLICATION INFORMATION.  Library Faculty appointment will be
made at the Library Assistant Professor or Library Associate Professor rank
(non-tenure track), depending upon qualifications.  Minimum salary is
$31,000 for a Library Assistant Professor and $37,000 for a Library
Associate Professor.  A generous benefits package includes TIAA/CREF (or
alternative plan) and 22 days of annual leave.  Review of applications will
