CALL FOR PAPERS
Australasia's leading electronic information conference and exhibition,
INFORMATION ONLINE AND ONDISC '99 is to be held at the Sydney Conference
and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Australia, from the 19th to the
21st January 1999.
The Conference is sponsored by the Information Science Section of the
Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and includes
presented papers, subject focus sessions, trade exhibits, an Internet
Centre with specialized problem solving sessions, and pre- and
post-conference events.
At ONLINE 99, enjoy the benefits of networking with experts, colleagues and
vendors in a dynamic information environment. Taking the information
professional into the new millennium, ONLINE 99 is the premier conference
for the profession in Australasia. The 1997 conference drew an audience of
over 1200 delegates and 70 exhibitors from leading suppliers of online,
CD-ROM and library systems and services.
Innovative, practical and research papers are invited on all aspects of the

Speaker benefits
For each paper presented a free day registration will be provided for a
maximum of two presenters per paper. Day registration includes attendance
at the days sessions, entrance to the exhibition, lunch and refreshments.
Form of proposals
Please provide sufficient detail in the abstract to allow the Committee to
make a selection. Acceptance or otherwise of proposals will be at the
discretion of the Programme Subcommittee. Papers must not have been
published, accepted for publication, or presented elsewhere prior to
