networking cd-roms

We're interested in providing access to a range of CDROMs over our
corporate intranet. However most commercial CD titles are not "web aware"
-- ie for networking purposes they need to have software installed on each
client machine, which for obvious reasons we would like to avoid.

Does anyone know of solutions to this problem -- either a list of web aware
CD titles or a work-around for this problem?
