Password-protected pages and public Internet stations

Recently, while developing some password-protected pages, I noticed
that once a user has gained access to the page (by inputting a username/
password to the pop-up form provided by the browser), that password
does not need to be input again as long as the browser is still running
(i.e. the user might look at some pages on anotehr site, etc., then come
back to the password protected page--the browser will not ask for the
password for that page again).
In home or office situations, this is not such a big problem. But . . .
what about the users of public Internet stations in a library, or some
other
public place where, typically, the browser program is left running
all day, and users are discouraged from restartoing the program (or
computer)?
