Communicator Bookmark behavior

Just this morning, my Communicator started doing something strange.  Each
time I close it, it says:

Bookmarks have changed on disk. Discard your unsaved changes and reload?

    Yes or Cancel.  
 
I never used to get that warning.  If I am not careful, I will lose my new
bookmarks.  

This morning of course, my win95 system nicely prompted me to change to
standard time.  I did that.  The datetime stamp on my bookmark.htm file
 reflects the proper time.

Anyone have any ideas what might have caused this to happen?

It does not happen with Netscape 3.03.
