Chuck,

   The way we do it here in Fort Worth is by using the following META tag
on each page other than the homepage:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="600;
URL=http://ci.fort-worth.tx.us:443/fortworth/fwpl/">

The 600 in CONTENT= is the number of seconds of inactivity -- so after
600 seconds (10 minutes) of inactivity the page reverts back to our
homepage (the referenced URL).

   An example of the HEADING of one of our pages with the META tag
follows:

<HEAD>
<TITLE>Fort Worth Public Library, Activities for Children</TITLE><META
HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="600;
URL=http://ci.fort-worth.tx.us:443/fortworth/fwpl/">
</HEAD>

   This is the way we do it. I'm sure there are numerous other examples
that other libraries are using.
