.cgi files

CGI files are still new ground for me, so I ask your indulgence.  On our
freestanding internet computers, I found that someone had downloaded a file
to our hard drive with a .cgi extension.  Fortres 1.0 does not prevent this.
Should I be concerned? Would a .cgi file be considered in the same class as
a .exe file (it could contain a virus)?  Frank Cervone, I know you can
answer this!
