                   Electronic Resources Librarian
                     (Manager/Library Services)

DATE:  May 14, 1997

DUTIES:  Under general supervision from the Library Director, this
         position includes responsibility for the oversight and
         maintenance of all library electronic services and automated
         systems.  This position also includes some reference desk
         assignments, with the possibility of some teaching duties,
         and other related duties as assigned.

SALARY:  $2,031 per month (Pay Grade 18)

QUALIFICATIONS:  Masters Degree from an ALA accredited program and at
                 least three years of professional library experience
                 required; working knowledge of microcomputers,
                 operating systems, CD-ROM LAN and Web technologies
                 also required.  Experience with integrated library
                 systems, preferably NOTIS, desirable.  Must be able to
                 work effectively with library consortium systems staff
                 and with local computer center personnel on technical
                 matters.
