Equipment for Presentations

A hardware query:  in the Internet workshops I've given in the past,
I've always used a projector to, well, project the video monitor's
output onto a screen or suitable wall.

Now I'm wondering:  is there a device with which I can take the video
output and transfer it directly to a television screen?  In this case
there would be no projection; the images would appear on the television
as would any regular TV program.  How much do these devices cost, if
they do indeed exist?
