     Internet Specialist
     
     Aspen Systems Corporation, an employee-owned information management 
     company that provides services to the Federal government, is seeking 
     an Internet Specialist. Responsibilities include the following: 
     maintaining and enhancing the project's Web site, entailing HTML 
     coding for text, images, graphics, audio and other media; maintaining 
     quality control mechanisms, whether automated or manual, for insuring 
     integrity of links; manage and improve the organization of links and 
     documents or other me that appear in the web site.
     
     Other responsibilities include contributing to decisions about 
     enhancing and updating the informational selection criteria and 
     methods used for document organization of the site, active monitoring 
     of new or emerging web technologies and determining possible 
     applications of such technologies for use on the project site; and 
     providing detailed reports concerning site use.
     
     This entry-level position requires, as a minimum, a bachelors degree, 
     and some experience with HTML coding and web page development. In 
     addition, experience in using Internet and web search technologies, 
     such as Lycos, Alta Vista, WAIS and others. Experience in a Windows 
     environment required. Recent MLS graduate or near completion of MLS 
     degree preferred or, lacking an MLS, minimum 1 year experience in any 
     library, information clearinghouse, newspaper, or publishers setting.
