OK OK I'll let you know, especially as several people have emailed me.
(But hey this is real important stuff)
An Alta-Vista search for urine and asparagas turned up a link to a library
site in the UK that discussed a database and the example was on this topic.
There was no link to the database but another search turned it up and there
we found that two studies were done on this topic.
The first study (I think in the late 50s or early 60s) concluded that some
people were genetically pre-disposed to have smelly pee and some were not.
The second, recent, study concluded that all peoples pee smelled funny and
that the ability to smell it was genetic.
Pretty cool eh?
My housemate was excited and got the answer emailed to the woman she had
been discussing this topic with at a party a few days earlier.
I only wish the answers I hunt for these days would be so easy to find.
