Dear colleagues,
The International Network of Public Libraries has published
its first results now. The objectives of this project, initiated by
the Bertelsmann Foundation Germany, are to pool the know-
how that exists world-wide, to give momentum to the international
exchange of experience in public library management, to develop
successful concepts and above all to put them into practice.
The topics are:
- Change management
- Strategies for better customer service
- Quality management
- Marketing
- Product-oriented management
- Cost- and performance accounting
- Electronic media / Internet
with contributions by successful library managers of Australia,
Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, New Zealand,
Sweden and the USA.
