Actually simply launching another settings file closes any settings file
that is still open. I regularly monitor several accounts on my machine and
this works fine.

One warning, set up a policy for people to not close their IN Mailbox but
to quit instead. We had Eudora on a shared Mac and the machine kept running
low on memory because people kept closing the windows and thinking they had
quit the program. When you have Eudora, Word and a couple of other programs
open in this way it gets to be a problem.
